with slackware you need to NFS export the slakware directory from the CD
on one machine.
with slackware 8
the on the 386 boot from the boot disk, then the root disk, then type
network and put in the network driver floppy. when the NIC is detected
then go through the setup menu and choose the 'install from nfs' option.
e-mail me directly if you have more questions, this is now off-topic for
this list.

The base debian install takes only 12 floppies or so.
If you have a network card that works in linux you can install the base system
over the network, then you only need 4 floppies or so.

I installed RedHat 7.1 using one floppy and a network card.
use rawrite and image boot.net to make the floppy.
I don't know if It's possible to install rh7.1 in 120MB though.

If you use slackware, you can install it over nfs. you will need another
machine connectted to your machine which exports the directory where
you're slackware packages are.

Ypu can install slackware via NFS, and RH via ftp.
Both procedures are quite aesy and work great.
just export NFS the slakware directory containing the
packages series, and then prepare the canonical two floppy and another
floppy containing the "network" image.
For RH, just put the distribution on a pc where you can access trought
ftp, it does not matter if it is as a regular user or as anonymous.
Pay atention with the correct path to begin RH installation.
Hope you wil be successfull
Luigi
