Hi there,
New to this list, running SuSE 7.3 with 2.4 Kernel and a simple LVM-setup.
vgscan seems to be destoying the LVM-conf on bootup. While this is annoying, could I simply disable
vgscan ? Would running vgchange -a y not be sufficient ?
Anybody had a problem like this ?
Regards
Dan

In case your disk configuration doesn't change (like moving a LVM used disk
to another adapter and the like) you don't need to run it.
With the next LVM1 release you have the option to avoid running it completely
even such io config changes happen.
