[1.] The problem: PCI PIIX4 resource collisions with E7500 chipset
[2.] Full problem description:
During booting my PIIX4 IDE controller doesnt get enabled.
On Supermicro 6022P mainboard which uses the Intel E7500 chipset.
Before posting I thought it was a conflict with the internal NIC's
but after disabling them I still have the:
PIIX4: IDE controller on PCI bus 00 dev f9
PCI: Device 00:1f.1 not available because of resource collisions
PIIX4: (ide_setup_pci_device:) Could not enable device.
messages during boot. So I can't use DMA on the disks, which leaves
me with unuseable performance.
