Neil, Trond, Tom, HJ and others:
I think it'd be quite useful if each of you could give your recommended
patch and version set for good nfs server and client performance and
reliability for the 2.4.18 kernel.
ideally:
Neil: What patches of yours you recommend for 2.4.18 nfsv3 tcp and udp
Trond: What patches of yours for 2.4.18 nfsv3 client tcp and udp
Tom and HJ: What version of nfs-utils suggested to work with the above.
Tom: if you could post the above answers onto the FAQ I'm sure a lot of
people would appreciate.
I think this information would be handy to the lot of us who are kinda
bouncing around looking for something to make our servers and clients do
the right thing.
I know this is kinda a large question but it'd be nice to have a
consistent answer for it. Spelunking the list archives has not gained me
a greatly consistent answer.
thanks
