I like this line: "Anything that touches on someone's beliefs is out of the
question" and apply it seriously. That means don't insult Red Hat or Al Viro
or anyone else.

Or, for that matter, lawyers. I quote legalese.html:
Now if you ask an IP lawyer whether the phrase "anal retentive IP
lawyer" is redundant, they tend to laugh. IP lawyers require language
that sounds pretty asinine in such agreements.
I recommended cutting those two sentences in my comments in that file.

I agree. The users don't care about politics in the linux world, they
just want something that works. Insulting the other companies just
makes it look like we don't play well with others.
Insulting lawyers is universally accepted though ;-)
