Is that GRUB2 or GRUB-Legacy ?
(I'd like to support both. But GRUB2 is of
 course first goal.)

Well, i see the same options as with ISOLINUX.
So this gesture should already be possible
by xorriso:
  xorriso -as mkisofs ...above.options...

Is there by chance a resulting image available
which i could test and examine ?
(The smaller the better. Booting up to a GRUB
 menu would suffice.)
