Do you use some of the other OSes ?
If so, would you mind to try what happens if
you do
tar xzf xorriso-0.5.3.tar.gz
cd xorriso-0.5.3
./configure
make
xorriso/xorriso -version
The build system is autotools based. It should
suffice for most systems.
It does compile on all Debian buildd targets
and it did on Solaris a year ago.
