let me tell u, i googled it before coming to you, i
myself was googled by going through the pages that i
found. please can you give me a program which does
both record and play simultaneously, it would be great
   if you provide this one to me. Thank you,

Sorry, I don't have such a program handy.  Try the examples from the
"test" directory in alsa-lib.
