I would like to ask you some help to make my 3CRWB6096 PCMCIA card to
work. According to some documentation
I use bt3c_cs driver.
I use this:

Here is the output of some events:

do you might think this line could be the problem? You need to install
the firmware into the right directory.

Thank you, now I downloaded and extracted the BT3CPCC.bin file into "the
right place on the local file system".
According to www.bluez.org/drivers.html "the right place" is
/lib/firmware.
The bluez-bluefw files of my linux-distribution are in
/etc/bluetooth/firmware, so I made a symbolic link to this, too.
But /var/log/syslog gives the same result:
May 23 19:46:38 localhost kernel: bt3c_open: Firmware request failed
Is there some possibility to find out where pt3c_open is looking for the
firmware file?
Thank you in advance,
Regards
Zol

the bluez-bluefw package is outdated.

Do you installed hotplug? Does /etc/hotplug/firmware.agent exists?

No, it doesn't. I could find only these:
/etc$ tree hotplug*
hotplug
|-- agents
| `-- usb
`-- usb
|-- bcm203x
|-- bcm203x.usermap
|-- bluefw
|-- bluefw.usermap
`-- kino-jogshuttle
hotplug.d
`-- default
|-- 10-udev.hotplug -> /sbin/udevsend
`-- 20-hal.hotplug -> /usr/libexec/hal.hotplug
3 directories, 8 files
So these are only usb things (not pcmcia)

I shall install anything you suggest. Which "hotplug" do I
have to install?
Some sort of "hotplug" is installed, as I mentioned before
(and which can be seen in /etc/hotplug), but I suppose it's
not the one you proposed.

since you used dpkg to show a package list, I assume it is a Debian
based system. In this case "apt-get install hotplug" should do the job.

You are right, it's a Debian based system: UHU-linux.
# apt-cache search hotplug
uhu-hotplug - Eszk=F6zcsere-vez=E9rl=F5 programok
# apt-get install uhu-hotplug
uhu-hotplug is already the newest version.
But it has only usb and ieee1394 parts:
/etc
/etc/hotplug
/etc/hotplug/agents
/etc/hotplug/agents/ieee1394
/etc/hotplug/agents/usb
/sbin
/sbin/hotplug
