Hi Folks:

It would appear as though no support for my Zeevo, Inc.
USB bluetooth dongle exists for Linux.

dmesg shows:
ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:1143: 9:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x5
ALSA sound/usb/usbaudio.c:1143: 9:1:2: cannot get freq at ep 0x5
input: USB HID v1.10 Device [Zeevo Bluetooth Audio Dongle] on
usb-0000:00:1d.7-2

When I plug in.

lsusb shows:
ID 0b7a:0100 Zeevo, Inc.
AudioDongle: uniqueID: tCIZ.IGVSOCvzpxA

When I click in the lower right hand corner in the KDE panel on the
bluetooth
ICON it states "No working Bluetooth adapter found. Only local services
will
be displayed.".

Please advise if I have any hope of getting this supported or if it is
best I purchase
a supported dongle. Apparently Zeevo has been bought out by Broadcom.

Cheers,
Bob

this looks like an A2DP Source Dongle and not a HCI dongle.

Regards

Marcel

I agree, I think, it is an Audio Dongle for Bluetooth.

Are you saying that this doesn't fall under the Bluez
umbrella? If that is correct who would I go to for
further insight and help to get this dongle to work?

Cheers,
Bob

if it has no HCI interface then you can't use it as generell Bluetooth
dongle. There might be a possibility to switch it into HCI mode like we
do this for the HID proxy dongles, but for the Zeevo I doubt it.

Regards

Marcel

This dongle came in the box with a very nice headset/mic combination
that I would like to use for Skype and to listen to sound from my
computer on tethered from the cord.

My goal is to just get the headset working on Linux as it does
nicely on the dreaded XP box.

Does any know if any possibility exists to get it working for the
purposes of talking with the headset ?

Alternatively does anyone know of a supported device that would
likely talk to the headset, and if so, make a recommendition for
a make/model?

Cheers,
Bob
