Did you ever consider that the ALSA developers don't have access to every
device they have drivers for?
Anyway this isn't a bug report, please tell us exactly what's wrong with

I know one another report that this driver locks and oss driver works on
same machine with same kernel.
Unfortunately this is pentium 2 chipset (hardware is no more produced),
and I think there is no on who can (want) fix this.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to fix this without a test hardware.
The condition is worst: No datasheet, a picky chipset, a pure
reverse-engineered driver code.
