We got this working at LAC. Did not have time to methodically debug it (we ended up changing several kernel config options) but I think the critical one was to enable CONFIG_ISAPNP. Is it an ALSA bug that the driver compiled but failed silently if this was missing? Lee ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? IIRC, CONFIG_ISA sufficed in the earlier version, but this might have been an incident that ISAPNP was (automatically) turned on. In 2.6.17, even CONFIG_ISA is removed from the dependency of vxpocket driver. I've not checked whether really the driver works really without CONFIG_ISA and CONFIG_ISAPNP. If ISAPNP is still required in 2.6.17, you should report it to kernel bugzilla or LKML. I think the pcmcia controller side should have a proper dependency on ISA or ISAPNP.
