Anytime I try to record from the soundcard I get the following message on the console: kernel panic - not syncing: Buffer above 16M boundry This is reproducible with for example 'sound-recorder foo.wav' or any other program that reads from the soundcard. I would be happy to debug it further, but I would need some pointers as to what to do, as I couldn't find a debug mode for the alsa es1938 kernel driver. I have now tried the 2.6.16.20 kernel as above, but still only get the kernel panic one-liner. How do I get a full kernel panic? -Kacper ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 5+ messages in thread

How do I get a full kernel panic? The error message comes from OSS essolo1 driver... Takashi ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 5+ messages in thread

Wow. I failed to notice that my system was loading the oss driver alongside the alsa driver. Thanks for spotting this for me. Sorry for the noise. -Kacper ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 5+ messages in thread
