I've been working to get a test mode operational in the driver, so that
users can independently toggle the speakers and headphones.  It seems
that HP DV1/2/3000 series laptops are wired differently then the
DV5/8000 series as muting works on the latter series.

I just sent out a new patch to hopefully get test mode working.  I'll
add you to my separate mailing list and send you a copy of that email.
