Hi,

I may have detected a bug with the K8 cpu frequency driver
(powernow_k8.c). While the driver correctly
detect the 2 availables frequencies (800 & 1600 MHz), the governor always
uses the lowest one.

Even if I force Linux to use the performance governor, it still uses the
lowest frequency. Sometimes, it
enables the highest frequency. In this case, my laptop switches well
between lowest and highest frequencies on power insertion/removal.
On your site, I have read that it may be an ACPI related problem... What
do you think?

My system is a laptop (dual Turion 64 mobile) running a 64-bits
Debian/testing distro with a vanilla kernel (2.6.19.1).
I have attached a copy of my dmesg output and of the governor interface in
sysfs.

Feel free to ask me any other information which might be helpful.

Regards, Romain.
