Hi,

What a f*cked up mailing list system you are using!
I sent a mail to the list two months ago from the wrong account and ever
since you have been spamming me on that e-mail account.
I have asked on numerous occasions to be removed from the list, but nobody
seems bothered.

I have been submitting all e-mails I receive to the various spam lists and
eventually they will start blocking your list.

I don't follow.  Are you saying that you managed to subscribe to the
list accidentally?

No one has time to hold your hand.  Try unsubscribing yourself:

  https://lists.netfilter.org/mailman/listinfo/netfilter

At the bottom of the page there's a box where you can enter your e-mail
address and then you hit the 'Unsubscribe or edit options' button.
Don't forget to hit the button!

removal info is always appended to the posts to this list as a hyper lik 
at the bottom, or can be found in the headers.  So, while you might think 
the list maintainers are assholes, they likely view you as a foolish 
idiot <smile>.

Before ridiculizing yourself again on a public, archived, web readable
mailing list, just learn how this kind of thing works. Precisely that if
you receive emails, than you subscribed, and if you don't want to
receive them anymore, you have to unsubscribe.

Aside form the fact this is explained on the web page you probably read
before subscribing, you can find in headers of _every_ email received on
this list:

List-Unsubscribe:
  <https://lists.netfilter.org/mailman/listinfo/netfilter>,
  <mailto:netfilter-request@lists.netfilter.org?subject=unsubscribe>

This means you just need wether to go to
https://lists.netfilter.org/mailman/listinfo/netfilter, enter your email
address and push "unsubscribe" button, or send an email to
netfilter-request@lists.netfilter.org. As you seem able to email the
list, I guess this should not be a problem for you.

I remember an American (don't recall his name, nor do I feel compelled
to try and find it) back in 2001 or so, who thought he could shutdown
this list (or something like that). There was a good laugh about it and
he eventually stopped harassing the list users. It could be just me but
I'm recognizing silimar foolishness here.

Please just unsubscribe as mentioned in other posts. It really works: I
tried when I went on holliday.
