It would be better to fix the mailing list not to automatically reject
posts from non-subscribers but to just make them go through a moderation
queue. That would get you from 'subscribers-only' to 'moderated for
non-subscribers'. To make that unnecessary as well, disable the bounce
about the moderation in the mailman configuration, as is the case with
the dri-devel list.
