i would define most powerful as most robust, ie, works from the longest
range / has the greatest transmission rate all else being equal.
my atheros 5008 is the following combination: AR5416/AR5133
http://www.atheros.com/pt/AR50083NX.htm
according to that website it is 3x3 MIMO with 3 radio's 3 antenna's
although i do find this interesting we're a fair bit away from my problem of
ath9k not even recognising my chip at all regardless of it's awesome :(
