Hmm, whois is my friend. Of course remembering which whois server is
where is a pain so whois.geektools.com is even more my friend (for
those who don't know it's a whois proxy server).

At a guess I'd say he'd be torn between disclosing to the group
vs. appearing to spam the group. Of course if this is the case then
having others raise the issue first side-steps the nagging "should I
post or not" question.
Of course he could also be really busy.
