So how do you go about becoming an "Authorized SE Linux Courseware Developer
and Training Deliverer"?

I've emailed them to find out excatly what they mean by that. What are
the chances of getting a response ? :-)

Ugh, that was supposed to be a private email, please disregard.

Well, based on the whois info for the domain, it looks like Mark
teaches candidates what he knows and, should he encounter he trouble, he
asks this list what in Hell to do.
At that point either you or Stephen Smalley will usually answer. :)
Okay, this is partially a tongue-in-cheek answer 'cause I'm on annual
leave again and have more Cointreau by my side, but the whois info for
the domain does show it belongs to someone who has been on this list
for a while and seems to have a fair bit of clue. Okay, the domain
name does seem to pander to the "instant answer" and "must have
certification" brigades, but neither of those are really new to the IT
industry (especially when any level of management for any corporate
organisation is involved).
So why not just ask Mark directly what his intentions are, preferably
with the rest of the list getting the results. Hell, if I were to
base his response just on past posts (especially his attitude to the
SCC), then I would not be surprised if he encouraged especially
interested students to join this list and, maybe, Russell's discussion
list (which perhaps might be a better forum for this type of thing).
Regards,
Ben

I didn't think to check whois until long after I had raised the issue on the
list. Since noticing the whois information I had been waiting for Mark to
respond.

Cointreau is nice. ;)

True, there's nothing wrong with providing products to meet that market
demand.

Mark is doing some good things. I'm surprised that he hasn't posted on this
topic yet. I'm also surprised that he didn't announce his web site and keep
the list informed of progress on it.
Some public messages from Mark could really help clear things up.

My discussion list isn't appropriate for this issue, and in any case it's
broken at the moment as I am in the middle of re-arranging my mail servers.

Hmm, whois is my friend. Of course remembering which whois server is
where is a pain so whois.geektools.com is even more my friend (for
those who don't know it's a whois proxy server).

Yes, we've established this. :)

At a guess I'd say he'd be torn between disclosing to the group
vs. appearing to spam the group. Of course if this is the case then
having others raise the issue first side-steps the nagging "should I
post or not" question.
Of course he could also be really busy.

I'll join the clamour for that.

Fairy snuff, then.

NSA is not affiliated with this web site in any way.
