Hi,
I'm using the CVS version of libs2 and utils2, with my MX900. I have the
impression that the MX900 batteries don't last very long between two
charging cycles (2-3 days). Can other here confirm this ?
I must explain that I use my MX900 without the docking (with a laptop
underway), so I only dock the mouse to load it when it blink red.
And being with empty batteries underway leaves me with the poor
touchpad.
Any better experience under Window$ ? Is some optimization possible in
the code to better use the "standby" modes of the MX900 ?
Charles

the HID specification is clear about that the HID device itself must
take care about its power consumption. What is your link policy? Maybe
the sniff mode is not enabled. On the other hand the Apple Bluetooth
mouse never uses sniff mode to save power. Run a hcidump and check what
your mouse is doing.

Marcel

run the hcidump with "-x" to see that packet content, but in general it
changes to sniff mode and so power saving works.

I don't have make stats, but I will do and keep you informed. But I
think I'm charging about 1 time per week.
Try with other batteries, as it seems some batteries in the Logitech
devices has problems.

Same for me: I dock only when it red blink.
Good day.

Hi,
I haven't tried with Bluez, but my MX900 works well with the Widcomm
stack.
After a full charge, left overnight, it lasts about a week.
A good way to test if it's Bluez, run the hub in HID mode i.e. don't
switch to HCI and see what the battery life is then.
Chris.

I can confirm that. I'm using both win (bt-stack) and linux (up to now
usb-hid). I haven't tried it using only bt over a few days (i haven't had
the time, configuring the bluez-hid under linux for every-day-operation).
