Little update. That research is 10 years old, so I don't know how valid
it is anymore.

It is ;-)

Have a look into the RieserFS archive.
For example at:

Greetings,
	Dieter

PS A repacker for Reiser4 is under way.

Reiser(FS) is the most misspelled name I've ever seen. Why is this word
so difficult for people? (serious question)

To me it sounds German, but that doesn't even keep German people from
misspelling it ;-)

Makes me glad I don't write filesystems, if poor Hans causes that much trouble. :)

Speaking from experience it's probably because it's easy to typo.

I know that 'e' comes before 'i', except after 'c' etc..., but it's
very easy to transpose letters. In this case the 's' and the 'i'.

I assume it is German. With a name like Hans Reiser it's almost
guaranteed. Could be Austrian or something. (having visions of Hans
and Arnold hanging out in a beer hall ;-)

(sorry deadline pressure taking over my brain. Humor mode on)

RedHat User Support Call:

Support: Good afternoon. Welcome to RedHat Support. May I have your
support ID?

Arnold: My name is Detective Kimball.

Support: I'm sorry, could you please give me your support ID?

Arnold: I'm a cop you idiot.

Support: Oh...

Arnold: I just want to ask you a few questions...

Support: Uhhuh?

Arnold: What is reiserfs and what does it do?

Support: Oh, sorry sir but we don't officially support Reiserfs. We
recommend ext3.

Arnold: Screw You!!! I won't be back. (click)
