I know this is a bit off topic ... but ... Does anyone know a good Linux
security book ? ( possibly related Redhat / fedora).

Thanks

Peter

I got a lot out of reading "Red Hat Linux Firewalls" by Bill McCarty (Red
Hat Press [Wiley], 2003). It covers firewalls design & implementation,
principles of security, ipchains, and iptables, and includes worthwhile
example scripts.

This is an unsolicited testimonial!

There are a couple that I've used:

Redhat Firewalls - excellent for describing iptables and different
architectures of firewalls
Redhat Security and Optimization - more of a concentration on architecture,
but still very good
Linux Security Cookbook - this isn't as directed at Redhat as the first
two, but does have some very good scripts if you're just starting out.

Hope this helps..

Regards
John
