Great! Things are really coming together this week.
It'll be interesting to run some benchmarks and compare the overhead of
protecting 3 vs 2 level pagetables.
There are still a bunch of PAE related FixMe messages in mm.c. We
probably need to do an audit of these...

Yep. As my test machine has 1 GB only I also expect a
few bugs show up when booting on a machine which actually
has more than 4 GB. Just tried SMP, builds fine and boots
the kernel, but dies early in userspace boot, while doing
page table updates, so something is buggy there as well ...
