yes, this may happen, but not systematically

this happens even if eth0 is stopped and the pc booted out of connection with
the network...
btw, several daemons are started when switching from
runlevel2 to runlevel3, including portmap, nfs, rpc, autofs, acpi, hal..., many
potential sources of interrupt, isn'it?
