I would venture to suggest that any PV disk driver also provide the neccessary
CDROM capabilities. During installation of guests, even on baremetal, the
CDROM is a serious bottleneck on install time so much so that I never install
off CDROM anymore instead using network sources. The emulated CDROM amplifies
this problem, so having the PV drivers support CDROM capabilities could be
very beneficial
