Hey!
On 1.0.16 softvol sometimes chokes on snd_pcm_rewind(): the command
suceeds but the sound is heavily distorted from then on. Takashi,
Jaroslav, is this known? Any short-term workaround?

No, softvol is a fairly straightforward implemented plugin, so I have
no idea now.

How is it with the latest ALSA release?

Hi,
I'm using Fedora 10 development/rawhide and I'm having the same problem
with softvol and alsa-lib-1.0.16 - snd_pcm_rewind() makes the audio
distorted and very high-pitched. Is there a way I could help debug this?
