[ath9k-devel] ath9k & D-Link DWA-652 XtremeN Cardbus Notebook Adapter version 1.10

I'm running Debian Lenny AMD64 on a not-so-stock Acer 5002WLMi and a self compiled Linux Kernel 2.6.27.4.  It has an internal BCM4318 network card that I've completely disabled due to ongoing issues and frustration with the internal Broadcrum adapter.
 
When I compiled the Kernel, I ensured that all the b43 & b43-legacy drivers as well as the ssb module where disabled from this kernel.  I then enabled the ath9k driver, and booted up the kernel with the D-Link adapter insterted into the bay when all was done.
 
Everything appeared to be working, until I tried to connect to an access point.  The link light will blink away when it's scanning for access point, and it will show me the access points that are around.  When I try to connect, the link light goes out and nothing happens.  I've tried a few different scenario's - doesn't matter if the access point has no encryption, WEP, WPA, or WPA2.  Can anyone help me with getting this card operational?

What is not working? Your led lights? You cannot associate? The kernel
oops? You cannot get an IP? Have logs?
