Well, if *anybody* can do it, I might as well toss my hat into the ring
- I wasn't wearing it anyway. So please add me to the list of nominees
for the open TAB positions this time around.

Thanks,

jon

Certainly ... Since you're going to the KS, you get to present your
nomination statement on the day (whichever day the LF BOF is).
However, posting it early to this list is also welcome.

I'd like to put my name forward for the upcoming election to the TAB.

Hopefully I shouldn't need too much of an introduction, but I'll attempt
one anyway...

I've been working on the Linux kernel for the last ten years, with
fairly diverse coverage but mostly embedded development including
drivers and file systems for flash. Currently, most of my waking hours
seem to be taken by the One Laptop Per Child project.

My involvement with embedded Linux development means that I interact
frequently with those vendors who I believe need most assistance with
their interaction with the open source communities, and as such I feel
that I could be a useful member of the TAB.

P.S. I apologise for using the swearword 'embedded' in a public forum.

As seems to be the practice, I'll nominate myself... :-)

I'd like to stand for election to the TAB as well.

In the past, the LF CTO was a (or the) LF representative to the TAB.
Is this no longer the case, or are you seeking a dual role?

thanks,

Currently, my IBM assignment to the Linux Foundation ends at the end
of this calendar year. So I will no longer be able to work full-time
in my CTO role at the LF. From my conversations with Jim, it's
currently unclear/undecided how the CTO role will be filled in 2010.
