Subject: [patch 43/52] [PATCH] cio: make steal lock procedure more robust
Date: Fri, 13 Nov 2009 16:09:07 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20091113150916.986219548@de.ibm.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20091113150824.351347652@de.ibm.com

[-- Attachment #1: 142-cio-steal-lock.diff --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 9953 bytes --]

From: Peter Oberparleiter <peter.oberparleiter@de.ibm.com>

An Unconditional Reserve + Release operation (steal lock) for a
boxed device may fail when encountering special error cases
(e.g. unit checks or path errors). Fix this by using the more
robust ccw_request infrastructure for performing the steal lock
CCW program.
