ath9k on 2.6.27 went in with only legacy support so if you have an 802.11n
AP you will not be able to use 802.11n with it. If you do not want to upgrade
to a newer Fedora or kernel yourself you can try compat-wireless stable
releases:

What is "the 802.11n" ? Do you mean your AP?
The next set of questions are -- what AP configuration are you using?
