Hi Andrew,
as we expected the code reorg took us a little while, but we finally got
the new v21 c/r patchset out the weekend before last. And as the whole
world now knows, it will of course be our last full patchset posting.
One sometimes forgets why one does things - our original goal was to
push a tiny, easily reviewable, c/r patchset and build on that. The
actual reason for the patchset growing was of course to hopefully show
that adding features doesn't have to make existing code uglier.
Where should we go from here? Were you considering pulling the whole
patchset in one go? Did you want to start with a subset? Or, is your
concern about additional features not yet addressed?
At this moment we're mostly waiting with baited breath for guidance,
rather than hacking on new features - since we'd rather work on
shrinking the patchset than growing it :)
thanks,
-serge
