Hi all,

I am a newbie in ath9k. and I am doing some research on wireless LANs. I want to buy a wireless card that works on a 5 GHz frequency band, also I want it to be supported by ath9k driver. I am currently working on a TP-LINK TL-WN951N which does not support this band of frequency. I read that LinksysWMP600n supports this band of frequency, but I want to ask if this card is compatible with ath9k driver? and if not could anyone give me any recommendation for my new wireless card?

AR9382, AR9380, AR9280 support 5ghz/2gzh(DB)

.. if in doubt:

* buy a mini-PCIe -> PCIe adaptor card off of ebay. They typically
come with three antennas already.
* buy one of the AR9280 (or later as Mohammed mentioned) NICs off of
ebay that are dual-band. There's lots of them, many < $30.

Can you provide a pointer to one of these.  I tried searching ebay for
a minipci to pcie adapter and got zero items found.

You won't get minipci -> pcie; I meant minipcie->pcie.

May be we are speaking about different eBays? :) I see a PCI-E adapters ONLY
for this search. It's priced arount 8 USD.

There's no mini-pci <-> pcie, but there's minipci<->pci and minipcie <-> pcie.

That's likely where the confusion stems from.
