Not right now, at least not afaik. NCT7802Y (assuming that is what you mean)
is all new and will need a completely new driver. I don't have a datasheet for
NCT6681D, so I have no idea if support can be added to one of the existing drivers.

Jeffrey,
Following up on this ... I plan to write a driver to support NCT6683D, which
presumably is similar to NCT6681D (still waiting for confirmation from Nuvoton,
though). Do you still have the need/ability to test a driver for NCT6681D ?
Thanks,
Guenter

Hi Guenter, hi list,
I'm joining the fight ! I have a all brand new Asus Z87 motherboard with
Nuvoton NCT7802 chip with it.
So i'm definitely in need for linux support and i can help testing a driver.
While running Linux i just can't control the fan behaviour. I would like
to have the ability to set temperature thresholds for slowing fans as i
can do with Fan Xpert in Windows. I know how to compile a kernel module
and how to test it. I can test different kernels if it can help.
currently 3.8.0-27-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 9 00:17:05 UTC 2013
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Thanks for your help
Pedro

I added the chip and your request to the lm-sensors page. As this is a new chip,
we will have to find someone to write a new driver for it.

Actually i'm quite confused because i ve found that this board (Gryphon
Z87) also uses a NCT6791D. So i compiled your driver (nct6775) and it
just works as a charm. I can control fan behaviour.
[ 1.261491] nct6775: Enabling hardware monitor logical device mappings.
[ 1.261502] nct6775: Found NCT6791D or compatible chip at 0x2e:0x290
But i don't understand why there is also the NCT7802 chip. I don't need
it but if i can test some code for you, just ask.

Great - thanks for testing and the feedback!

The board supports up to seven fans, so they need more than one chip
to monitor and control all those fans. Good news is that it suggests that
ASUS may move away from the idea of using multiplexers to switch between
fans.
