while searching the net for drivers for my Dlink DWA-160 extreme N USB wireless adapter (chipset appears to be AR9170+AR9104) as shown by the lusb command from the terminal. I am running fedora 15 on an acer aspire one 722 machine... with 2 gb memory (have notupgraded to 4 yet) it has a built in wireless broadcom corporation BCM4313 b/g/n (cannot find linux drivers for this... ) I had tried the ndiswrapper route, but that did not work at all (the information I got about that said something about recompiling the kernel for large stack... I am clueless when it comes to that sort of thing). While searching for information on drivers and such I came across your site that if I make my guess right is about developing drivers for the atheros chipsets, and after looking through the archives I was not sure there was anything there that would work with my chipset. So I am asking if anyone knows of where to find linux drivers for the chipset I listed, or any information that will help me get my Dlink usb wireless workin on linux... (this system is a dual boot system so the adapter naturally works on windoze)

Thank you for your time in reading this and any information that you may pass on to me is appreciated.

Please don't hide technical information when asking for help. The
chipset may appear to be AR9170 to your eyes, but why not give the
original lsusb output to others?

People are discouraged from replying if they only see your
interpretation and don't see any information that would let them make
their own conclusions.

That's probably brcmsmac. You'll need to compile compat-wireless for
your kernel to get a recent driver.

Please don't add too much information irrelevant to your question.
There is a separate mailing list for ndiswrapper.

That would be carl9170 if you have AR9170. Again, you may need
compat-wireless to get a recent version of the driver. And you'll need
the firmware.
