Hi,

netfilter's bugzilla has been down for a couple of days (at least).

i'm assuming that someone that needs to know already knows, but I've not
yet managed to find any info/status on it.

i did email 'pablo' (webmaster?) the other day with a heads-up, but
unclear whether he's the right/necessary contact.

is there any news/info re: bugzilla's status, and when we might be able
to access again?

thanks!

Many changes are going to happen in the netfilter.org infrastructure,
I expect to have it back working before end of 2012.

If you have any bug to report, use the mailing list until bugzilla is
back working.

Thanks. Atm, I'm 1st looking the get info *from* bugzilla ...

In particular, full 'conversations'/history for two bugs:

  http://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774
  http://bugzilla.netfilter.org/show_bug.cgi?id=782

Any option for getting at those by some other means other than bugzilla?

Pablo,

You suggested we 'use the mailing list' ...

I've done so a couple of times, asking just for two exiting bugzilla
reports. So far, there's been no answer.

Iptables logging is broken. These bugs apparently reference the
history/progress already in place.

Can you -- or anyone on this list -- suggest how/where we're to
contribute/participate if we can't get info from bugzilla OR the list?

Thanks.

I understand that you need this, but insisting does not help.

To get bugzilla back working does not only depend on me, I need the
action of volunteers that work for free on that in their spare time.

The only thing I can suggest is to post the problem here and we'll
address it.

The host just went away without an announcement - I think potential
volunteers do not even know what has happened, or (as a consequence of
this information blackout) how to help fixing it.

Jan,

SInce we can't get to info ...
On Opensuse, does the v1.4.16 iptables update fix this broken-logging
issue? I see you're the maintainer/bugzilla contact for the pkg.

THanks

The power supply of the server got broken. There was an announcement
to inform about that:

http://marc.info/?l=netfilter-devel&m=134739104606634&w=2

That is not how things are going on.

And later, (vishnu.)netfilter.org service, which drives the webpage
and git repo, was thankfully restored.

I had to log in to see that vishnu (formerly a ppc64 box IIRC) has
been replaced by a x86_64 OpenVZ instance, and possibly shifted its
IP address at the same time, which would indicate that Bugzilla was
not actually migrated(?) in the same go as the main website from the
ppc disks. That is just a guess, but this is kind of the information
I would have had hoped for.

In bug 782 which you referenced, it says the poster is using
commit 8db1044ba608a, which is around April 2012.

I cannot reproduce it with either 8db1044ba608a, 1.4.14 or 1.4.16.2.
Which does not mean that there is not something...

Bug 774 was marked duplicate of 782.

atm i can faithfully reproduce it with 1.4.14 on any/all of my Opensuse
12.2 boxes.

otoh, 1.4.16 from netfilter:security causes me to hit this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ufw/+bug/1065297

trying to figure out what to do about THAT one ...

Well, as Pablo indicated (the linked Debian reports from bug 782) also
show that this has already been fixed.
