I guess we do indeed need a function then.  I'll take a look at your
patch, but as long you found a way to avoid adding too much boilerplate
code it should be fine.

I guess we do indeed need a function then.  I'll take a look at your
patch, but as long you found a way to avoid adding too much boilerplate
code it should be fine.
