There is an amdgpu kernel driver which is part of the kernel. New features and bug fixes get added every kernel cycle. It lives in the drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu portion of the Linux kernel tree. We also release modified versions of the amdgpu driver in the AMDGPU-PRO and ROCm driver stacks.
