I'm sure you know this... But for everyone else on meta-ti list, here's a Wiki 
page detailing the Upstream-Status: tag use in OpenEmbedded (and by extension, 
the Yocto Project):

The biggest issue people have when first confronted with this, is where to put 
it. And since they create a patch to submit to the mailing list, they add it 
to the commit log. This should rather go in the actual local *.patch file when 
one gets added to the layer. When preparing email to be sent to the meta-ti 
list, it should be in the inner patch, not the outer - when merged, it should 
not be in the commit log, but rather inside the actual *.patch file.

And since this is now a requirement to maintain Yocto Project compliance, you 
would have to enforce it going forward. Thanks.

The new failure is due to a patch that Richard added in oe-core.  I sent 
an email to the mailing list asking about it, but no one has responded yet.

I think the patch is invalid, but there was little info in the commit 
about why it was being made nor could I find a post on the mailing list 
about it.

Should I send a revert patch to the mailing list to spark discussion?

This issue is master-specific and is due to python3-yamllint - the new package 
was added to OE-Core before Scarthgap, but wasn't backported to Nanbield. Due 
to resource constraints, meta-ti only branches off for LTS releases, while 
master tries to provide limited compatibility with the last intermediate 
stable release, which is Nanbield. Since Nanbield is expected to EOL this 
month, the idea was to keep the local copy of python3-yamllint in meta-ti 
master a bit longer until the corresponding compatibility with that release 
can be safely dropped. But I can take a look if we can easily adjust something 
to avoid the issue for now...

I guess the solution is to stop testing meta-ti master. I'll send a
patch to do that. Of course, once this is fixed, you can send a patch to
enable testing again.

And sorry this has taken longer than expected to get it fixed.

As I explained last time, we were holding until nanbield got EOL-ed in May, 
since the component in question python3-yamllint was added to OE-Core since 
scarthgap and meta-ti doesn't have a separate nanbield branch. Anyway, I just 
sent patches to remove the recipe and nanbield compatibility:

But honestly, there's been a lot of breakage in master caused by the UNPACKDIR

been piling up in next and wip branches w/o being tested. E.g. meta-arm is 
only now unlocking master:

The offending patch has been reverted and pushed to master.  You should 
be able re-enable the nightly testing from the perspective of this issue.
