Khem,

I have TOOLCHAIN = "clang" in my local.conf file and was not seeing
this error.  Is this perhaps riscv specific?

I ask because I built core-image-minimal-xfce with raspberry PI 5
target as an arm 64 build.

I think you will also need ld-is-lld in DISTRO_FEATURES to reproduce
it. It possible its RISCV specific but I think
first thing is to get LLD linker going for build it and see if you can
reproduce it too.

I'm still not seeing the problem on an Arm target.  So I will move to
a riscv target to see if I can at least reproduce what you are seeing.

I did  find this which provides a work around.  Although I'm also open
to just dropping the update.

I was, after getting my layers straightened out, able to reproduce the
problem.  The problem appears with the clang compiler and not with
gcc.  It does not appear to be target specific.  I was able to
generate it on ARM.  It turns out to be a known issue and was
addressed in newer releases of the libxfce4ui package.

You should find on the mailing list a patch to go to version 4.19.6.
