Ugh... To narrow the things down, could you see if replacing
fsd = kmalloc(sizeof(*fsd), GFP_KERNEL);
with
fsd = kzalloc(sizeof(*fsd), GFP_KERNEL);
in fs/debugfs/file.c:__debugfs_file_get() affects the test?
