Description
===========

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

x86/CPU/AMD: Prevent improper isolation of shared resources in Zen2's op cache

Make sure resources are not improperly shared in the op cache and
cause instruction corruption this way.

The Linux kernel CVE team has assigned CVE-2026-46174 to this issue.

Mitigation
==========

The Linux kernel CVE team recommends that you update to the latest
stable kernel version for this, and many other bugfixes. Individual
changes are never tested alone, but rather are part of a larger kernel
release. Cherry-picking individual commits is not recommended or
supported by the Linux kernel community at all. If however, updating to
the latest release is impossible, the individual changes to resolve this
issue can be found at these commits:

Hi Greg,

This is https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/cve-2025-54518 right? I suppose we
shouldn't have a separate CVE for the kernel patch.

On the other hand I dunno if this actually matters very much.

Cheers,
Brendan
