Subject: [PATCH 11/21] main: allow SIGBUS in the main loop
Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2026 12:20:34 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20261015112044.1999748-12-berrange@redhat.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20261015112044.1999748-1-berrange@redhat.com>
The data recorder wants to dump in response to SIGBUS in any thread,
so it must be unblocked in the main loop.
XXX: this restriction appears to have been something historical
related to the MCE handling to force MCEs out of the main thread,
however, the signal handler appears to be able to matchup to vCPU
threads regardless. Find someone with more knowledge to sanity
check this change, as we really want to catch BUS errors from all
threads, not merely vCPU threads.
