has been added to the -mm mm-unstable branch. Its filename is
maintainers-add-an-entry-for-memory-management-memory-map.patch
This patch will shortly appear at
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/25-new.git/tree/patches/maintainers-add-an-entry-for-memory-management-memory-map.patch
This patch will later appear in the mm-unstable branch at

Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's

The -mm tree is included into linux-next via various
branches at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm
and is updated there most days

Subject: MAINTAINERS: add an entry for MEMORY MANAGEMENT - MEMORY MAP
Date: Mon, 19 Oct 2026 14:34:26 +0300
Split out files related to SPARSE and SPARSE_VMEMMAP management from
MEMORY MANAGEMENT - CORE into a dedicated entry.
Also include architecture specific sparsemem.h headers, pfn_to_page() and
page_to_pfn() conversions and Documentation/mm/memory-model.rst.
Muchun, who did a lot of work cleaning up SPARSE_VMEMMAP and extending
vmemmap optimization, volunteered to help with the maintenance.
David and I will continue to look after that part of the mm subsystem.
