We compiled xen-3.4.2 (2.6.18.8-xen).
The grub entry, and the partition information to boot from /dev/sda1 is as
follows.

1. /boot/grub/menu.lst:

title           Xen
uuid            30ec981c-187e-4488-ae98-fe54ad13a77b
kernel          /boot/xen-3.4.gz console=vga
module          /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18.8-xen
root=UUID=30ec981c-187e-4488-ae98-fe54ad13a77b ro console=tty0 rootdelay=90
module          /boot/initrd-2.6.18.8-xen.img

2. fdisk:

Partition table entries are not in disk order

3. /etc/fstab:

4. /dev/disk/by-uuid/:

When we boot the new Xen kernel, we get the messsage:
ALERT! /dev/disk/.......does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

We tried several other settings for "root=" in the menu.lst such as
root=/dev/sda1, etc.
But none of them worked. We kept getting the same error message "..... does
not exist".

Can somebody figure out why does this happen? Thanks a lot in advance!

Teng
