Hello,

The number of supported boards are growing, and it will keep growing
as more people starts to use the BSP. The BSP needs to have a good
quality (specially when we use a stable branch) and this is only
possible if we have a good test coverage.

It is not possible to keep testing all boards alone (I don’t own all
supported boards, for example) and it takes a lot of time to make a
good test so it’d be good to share the load among more people and
consequently increase the quality of supported BSP.

What the most important features you wish to have tested and possible
ways to test them?

Regards,

Hi Otavio,

I'd be willing to do some tests for Nitrogen6x. The thing I personally care
more is 3D Vivante acceleration, but I can as well test audio and other basic
things.

I've seen the recent proposed patch to build mesa demos also on i.MX6, do you
think they are a good test for OpenGL ES functionalities?

Thanks,
Diego

3D Vivante acceleration is a big feature. I´m not sure if would be better to split this as the libraries (such as openGLES, openVG, and so on) with and without X11.

In near future we will need any help we can get. So, if you have a nitrogen6x keep in touch.

The purpose of this thread is to know what do you think it would be a good test. I know there is some Vivante demos as well.

We are planning to create a test plan document, that we can follow and get every board tested.

You mentioned autio and other basic things. Could you, please, list it?

I can test both fb and X11. Not sure about directfb, but if I remeber
correctly it's broken.

I'll be around.

I think the Vivante demos run only over fb, not over X11 (using X11
libraries).

I can test Nitrogen both HDMI and jack audio, USB, ethernet, microSD and maybe
SATA.
