Regardless of whether the question is stupid or not, it should be sent to the

That branch is outdated, you shouldn't use it (I'm not even sure where you 
found it, as it doesn't exist in 
https://git.linuxtv.org/pinchartl/fbdev.git/).

Please use the mainline kernel, it should support HDMI output.
