Hi Heinz,
I had a valid vgall.conf file, so I was lucky to save all my datas.
Seems that yast only deleted vgall.con and lvmtab.
Thanks a lot and good luck for the project.
I still think that lvm rocks!

In case you are forced into this again, please provide a "vgscan -d" output.
