What do you guys suggest for a tape backup for a 100GB hard disk system?
I'm planning on going XFS and want to dump partitions to tape, but I
only know about the really expensive tape backups that hold, like 25-100
tapes.
Where can I find something that's inexpensive but holds a lot of data
and works well with Linux?

Hi, Bryan:
CD/RW devices and media are cheaper than tape. :-|
Hard drives are sometimes rather cheap also.
I've seen 40 gigabyte drives for 48usd.
I'm guessing that a 40G tape cartridge would
be nearly 48USD. :-|

This brings up a question I have always wanted to ask, but
have been reluctant to broach. What ever happened to the
idea of using a VHS recorder for tape backup? Anyone know
of any schemes for this?
