Hi,
I have a dual processor IBM xSeries 345 server with RedHat 7.3
(kernel 2.4.18-3smp) that gives me the following message at boot time:
kernel: WARNING: MP table in the EBDA can be UNSAFE, contact
linux-smp@vger.kernel.org if you experience SMP problems!
The server freezes about once a day without any error messeges.
If anyone can help please tell me what information you require,
or please direct me to the appropriate sources for help.

Firstly get the kernel errata. Vendors release updates and errata for
a reason 8). If it still hangs with the current errata then it needs
more investigation. The EBDA MP table is fine in RH 7.3 however
as the kernel & boot loader are new enough
